Iteisha Bankston always loved science as a kid. Statistically, more boys than girls gravitate towards science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects. That never stopped her from remaining engaged and curious about STEM-type classes. As an undergraduate, she even majored in biology before becoming a high school science teacher who made her classes hands-on and interactive to break down the intimidation of the subject matter and make it accessible.
As an educator, she saw a great need to help kids one-on-one because every child needs specific attention to learn in the manner that they are gifted. She decided to open TeaSpot Learning Center at the height of the pandemic and continues to provide personalized education support and STEM learning workshops for students of all ages.
